Here in the
south, the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, we
like good food. Some common items on the dinner table at
supper time are things like southern fried chicken,
biscuits, gravy, rice, with homegrown tomatoes, taters
and green beans fresh out of the garden. Top that off
with some peach cobbler for dessert and you can say you
have lived the life of Riley.
I was never
partial to food from other locations, until one day a
couple of years ago, we had used a grill wok to Barbeque
some
chicken and steak kabobs over charcoal with fresh green
peppers, onions, mushrooms, pineapple chunks and cherry
tomatoes. After boiling some rice, I sat down and poured
soy sauce over the mixture. There happened to be some
Hidden Valley Ranch Honey Dijon Dressing on the table so I poured some
of that on too. This is how
I discovered honey dijon mustard and let me tell you it
is good! Try to stay away from the ones that say fat
free. The brands I prefer are Hidden Valley Ranch Salad Dressing mixed
with French's Honey Dijon Mustard.
You will also find the recipes and products -- honey and
dijon mustard -- to make it at home, on this site. If you try
this, drop me a note and let me know how you liked it.
Also, if there are other variations or dishes you would
recommend that use honey dijon mustard, let me know and I
will try them. Enjoy your visit here at HoneyDijon.com! | home | recipes | products | the mall | history | feedback |
