PORK SAUSAGE AND CORN CASSEROLE RECIPE
Ingredients:
1 pound pork sausage
3 tablespoons sausage drippings
3 tablespoons flour
1 can corn
1 1/2 cups milk
2 tablespoons green or red bell pepper
1 cup cracker crumbs
1 tablespoon sausage drippings
Instructions: Cook sausage until lightly browned. Remove from
pan. Add flour to about 3 tablespoons of sausage drippings.
Blend and add milk until gravy is smooth and thick. Add corn
and peppers to gravy mixture. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of cracker
crumbs in the bottom of a casserole dish. Layer gravy mixture.
Then, add 1/2 of the sausage mixture. Add remaining gravy and
then the sausage. Mix cracker crumbs with 1 tablespoon sausage
drippings and sprinkle over top of the casserole. Bake at
350 degrees for 30 minutes.
